There are several ongoing programs at AMRoC Fab Lab underway throughout the year, serving people of all ages with science and tech learning opportunities, workforce skills education and entrepreneurship support. Each of these programs, include two which have their own free-standing website to better showcase their range and scope, are listed below.
All the Colors Career Diversity Series
All the Colors is a career diversity video series for youth by youth, collaboratively produced by Pasco County Agents for Change, the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation (FCDI), and AMRoC Fab Lab. The goal of All the Colors is to help bridge the race and gender gap in science, technology, manufacturing and other high end careers and workforce opportunities by introducing children and young adults to people of diverse backgrounds who work in a variety of fields. Equity in Entrepreneurship
Equity in Entrepreneurship is a collaborative project of Grow to Greatness Ventures and AMRoC Fab Lab, in partnership with SBDC at Hillsborough County, and local area business leaders. The goal of the project is to help bridge the race and gender equity gap in early stage entrepreneurship access in the Tampa Bay startup ecosystem. You can learn more and register for the next available session at Equinent.com.
HADO, is one of our newest programs – an augmented reality game similar to dodge ball. The Foundation for Community Driven Innovation, the nonprofit that founded and runs AMRoC Fab Lab, has partnered with Green Mouse Academy, of West Palm Beach, to bring HADO to Tampa Bay, and collaborate on program development around this engaging technology. Currently, the game is demo mode on the AMRoC TechSports Field as the program is being developed. You can read more about the game and our collaborative partnership with GMA here. And see a great story on Fox News 13 with about Tampa.
