FCDI has been honored to work with Tony Selvaggio of eSmart Recycling for several years now. In the past, eSmart has hosted the Deconstruction Zone at Gulf Coast MakerCon as well as partnered on other events and programs.   With the advent of AMRoC Fab Lab, eSmart Recycling has generously contributed refurbished computers to the Fab Lab, for our youth programs and training classes.  Now we’re pleased to partner with eSmart Recycling to host a Middle School Entrepreneurship Academy as part of AMRoCs summer youth programming.

The Entrepreneurship Academy will be held each Friday in July, from 1pm to 4pm, and will teach students how to solve a problem and make money while doing it.

There is a business idea inside all of us waiting to be uncovered, and this program will help students learn how to go from idea conception to business modeling, canvasing, prototyping and pitching their product or service in front of a live audience. Entrepreneurs are creative, resourceful, and resilient; this month-long course will show students first-hand how the skills learned through entrepreneurship can be applied to their everyday life and work. Join us, and bring that business out to light!

Academy graduates will also get to pitch their final product or service at a 1/2 Cup pitch day on July 31 at the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center in Ybor  City, where not only friends and family can learn about what they developed, but local business leaders and potential investors can, too!.  1/2 Cup is  a periodic youth pitch opportunity hosted by 1 Million Cups Tampa.

Registration is $50 per student and includes all training and onsite resources.   Register by June 30th.
