AMRoC Opens Summer 2019!
AMRoC Fab Lab is currently open by appointment and for special events only. Follow our news, calendar and events section to stay up-to-date on upcoming programming and learning opportunities!
Working with local government, community agencies and corporate partners, AMRoC FabLab will be providing a variety of educational, and workforce training and certification opportunities across technical, industrial and manufacturing fields utilizing hands on, project based and competency focused teaching and learning programs.
Automotive Repair Certifications
ASE G1 Interactive Test Prep with instructor Pam Oakes of US Auto Training. The course will prepare students to earn their ASE G1 certification, for well paying jobs in the automotive industry. The fee for this class is $56 which includes the cost of the book. It starts June 8 and goes from 10AM to 1PM once a week on Saturdays for four (4) weeks. You keep the book of course. The last two class sessions actually run ’till 1:30 PM and include additional programming covering job preparation and career advancement resources from Hillsborough County Library System.

Working with onsite CSWA and CSWP certified trainers, AMRoC will offer a range of computer aided design certifications, ranging from electrical, simulation, CAM and Additive Manufacturing certifications
Public Speaking, Pitch and Presentation Skills
Working with the Cigar City Toastmasters , AMRoC will provide a variety of public speaking skills improvement and refinement programming.
Professional Development for Businesses & More
At AMRoC , educators, librarians and other STEM educators, as well as small and medium sized manufacturers and businesses, can enroll in a variety of professional development programming ranging from training in using makerspace and Fab Lab equipment, introductory coding, 3D printing, best practices in STEM education, diversity and inclusion hiring (in partnership with BCDI) , automation trends and more.
