There’s a new maker festival in town and AMRoC Fab Lab is excited to be sharing what we make there this weekend.  The Tampa Mini Maker Faire is co-hosted by Tampa Hackerspace and the Glazer Children’s Museum, and will be held this coming Saturday, July 27 from 10am to 6pm at the Children’s Museum.  AMRoC Fab Lab joins 75 other exhibitors to showcase what we make – at least a little of what we make! – at the event throughout the day.

We’ll be showcasing some of our youth and adult programming, with LEGO Mindstorms robots , tiny Ozobot and Cosmo robots, and hands on fun with arduino sound and light boards. Our booth will be staffed by some great volunteers and program partners including:

  • Larsha Johnson, a USF electrical engineering student, Founder of Bits4Bots LLC , whose products we sell at the Gearbox, our Fab Lab store, and who is one of our summer program providers,
  • Chris Willingham, founder of Prograde Labs and AMRoC’s resident 3D printing expert, programming and application developer and intern
  • Marissa Schiereck, a University of South Florida student working towards her B.S. in Businesses Management degree, with a background in engineering and robotics

You can read more about each of our great staffers here and meet them at the Tampa Mini Maker Faire on Saturday!
