First Friday at the Fab Lab in August: Meet Vanessa Ferguson, Privacy and Intellectual Property AttorneyJoin us for our August First Friday at the Fab Lab meetup to hear Privacy and Intellectual Property Attorney Vanessa Ferguson share best practices for “Protecting Your Ventures.” Every business has intellectual property, and this asset can add considerable value to your business if you protect and monetize it effectively. On Friday, August 2nd, Vanessa will give an overview of the four types of Intellectual Property, explain where the intellectual property can be found within a business and give examples on how you can monetize your business’s intellectual property rights to make your business more profitable. Vanessa will also provide insight into whether your business is infringing on another business’s intellectual property rights and how to avoid being sued for the same.
