Our next Equity in Entrepreneurship business spotlight shines on Dr. Deneia Fairweather, founder of ESE Consulting. Her business idea focuses on the development of an application called Anthropology in Motion (AIM) that brings together Anthropology and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
“Anthropology in Motion (AIM) seeks to empower young adults ages 17-24 to create systems of social and emotional healing using anthropology, art and science,” says Dr. Fairweather. ” AIM is operating from the premise that young adults ages 17-24 feel colonized. “
The application is different from other SEL apps because of its anthropological foundation and emphases on problem based learning.
She feels the Equity in Entrepreneurship program is helpful in providing a step-by-step strategy to the manifestation of her final product.
