We’re celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Month with a salute to our awesome AMRoC Fab Lab Volunteer Team! Our Volunteers range from high school students to retirees and help with everything from running programs and giving tours to organizing and maintaining the workshop. Check out our Showcase window throughout April, where we’ll be highlighting some of our volunteers’ creative endeavors, and sharing some of their stories there and on our website. If you’d like to volunteer at AMRoC Fab Lab, please visit our Volunteer page.

AMRoC Supernova Shout Out!

We want to give a shout out to a very special community volunteer during National Volunteer Month – Maha Uppal, a student in the USF Judy Genshaft Honors College, who has been coming to AMRoC since before Christmas to work on a clear face mask project.

Maha now has a small team who joins in twice a week, to work on the face masks. Designed for the USF Audiology Dept, the masks delight far beyond, and evoked a heartwarming response from a young visitor the Fab Lab recently, whose bright smile, visible for all to see, spoke volumes. We miss seeing one another’s smiles, and Maha’s project opens a window to that most human of joys during a challenging time. Thank you Maha!
