Our new home isn’t far from our old one. It’s just across the hall, and it’s a beautiful place to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary!
We’ve got 8000 sq. ft. of glorious public maker space, with separate lab areas for our 3D printers, sewing & arts center, a business center for our entrepreneurship and small business development program, generous machine shop space, storage facilities, and spacious meeting and gathering areas. We’re also excited to announce STRYKE Esports as our inaugural incubator company at AMRoC, part of our expanded Equity in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Support program.
STRYKE is intended to be an electronic community center with resources to bring new skills and career opportunities to the area. It also serves as a hub for future events, both hyper-local or international, with space, resources, and partnerships to make Uptown Tampa a global gaming destination.
Check our June First Friday Sneak Peek video below, and better yet, come out to our Grand Re-Opening event on June 18th , meet STRYKE, play some games, drive some robots, and tour New AMRoC and see all the possibilities for yourself!
Big Idea Brew Club Pitch Challenge – June 18 at 4 pm
We kick off a new season of Equity in Entrepreneurship programming this month, with a series of webinars hosted by our Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Brian Alvarez-Bailey, leading to the start of our in-person sessions in July. As part of our relaunch celebration, we thought it would be fun to provide a platform for inventors, entrepreneurs, and big thinkers to pitch us an idea.
The Big Idea Pitch Challenge will start at 4 pm at the Fab Lab. The top three winners get a paid membership to the next cohort of the Big Idea Brew Club where we formally help participants learn the basics of what it takes to make their idea a business reality, with additional opportunities for seed funding and small business ss support.
Anyone can pitch who has an idea for a product or service and a short pitch explaining their product or service idea. Each participant has 2 minutes to pitch their idea and will have up to 5 minutes of Q&A with judges and audience members.
Register by June 15 to participate.
