Our next Equity in Entrepreneurship Mentor Spotlight, welcomes Justin Heacock to our program. Justin  currently works at Florida Polytechnic University as the Entrepreneurship Center Coordinator where he founded the Entrepreneurship Program in 2016. That program has since been recognized internationally as a finalist for the Exceptional Activities in Entrepreneurship Across Disciplines award through the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers in Fall 2019. Other prestigious schools recognized as finalists and winners were Harvard, Texas A&M, Penn St., and Florida State University.

He has a M.S. in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technology from USF and a B.S. in Entrepreneurship from FSU. Justin’s passion is working with student companies where he has consulted with over 300 student led startups that are now valued at over $85 million dollars. Justin’s consulting experience comes from working in and managing business incubators. He worked in USF Polytechnic’s Blue Sky Incubator and managed USF’s Student Innovation Incubator.

Outside of academia Justin has created two startups over his years. His first, Revel Trax, was a RFID inventory system for hospital’s surgical arena. His second, Her Heart, was a patient centered mobile application for patients needing cardiac rehab services. Justin also is an avid Ultimate Frisbee player where has been playing competitively for 14 years.

We’re happy to have Justin as part of our great Equity in Entrepreneurship mentor team and appreciate the wealth of expertise he brings to the program.
