HADO Goes to METROCON- July 23-25!

If you’ve been following along our Augmented Reality gaming adventure with HADO Florida, or been able to come by and enjoy the HADO gaming experience for yourself on our Open Game Play Saturdays, you may already know what this active game is all about. if not, you have another fun opportunity to experience it, because we’re taking HADO on the road to METROCON July 23-25th!

HADO, for those who aren’t familiar, is an Augmented Reality (AR) game that merges the digital and the physical worlds for a mixed reality gaming experience. HADO puts the power of virtual energy balls and shields in the hands of players on a real-life court, redefining the landscape of sport and esport, truly allowing players to literally Get in the Game!

At METROCON, guests can enjoy demonstration game play and for a small donation play HADO themselves! Players attack by aiming and firing energy balls (Hadoken, for those familiar with Dragon Ball Z) at their opponents’ life cells. Defenders protect their own life cells by physically evading or dodging attacks while raising up a power shield to absorb attacks. Competitive teams develop physical skills while also devising strategic playing styles in order to win. Individual games are fast paced and highly active.

METROCON will mark the first large scale public showing of HADO in Florida, which is currently operated at AMRoC, courtesy of Green Mouse Academy to host HADO game play experience at AMRoC Fab Lab to bring the active gaming experience to the public.

We are grateful to METROCON for providing a the amazing METROCON convention platform to debut HADO to the greater public!  Please note that AMRoC Fab Lab is CLOSED July 23 & 24 for METROCON.

Uptown Tampa Community Conversations – July 31 at 6pm

Typically held on the 4th Saturday, this month’s meetup moves to the last Saturday in July because of our METROCON outing the prior week.
