Every business has intellectual property, and this asset can add considerable value to your business if you protect and monetize it effectively. On Friday, August 2nd, Vanessa will give an overview of the four types of Intellectual Property, explain where the intellectual property can be found within a business and give examples on how you can monetize your business’s intellectual property rights to make your business more profitable. Vanessa will also provide insight into whether your business is infringing on another business’s intellectual property rights and how to avoid being sued for the same.

About our Speaker
Vanessa is passionate about Intellectual Property and Privacy issues and how they affect innovation during the present Internet of Things era. She is a Central Florida native, and an alumna of the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg and the University of Dayton School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Ferguson pursued extensive studies in Intellectual Property, the Internet of Things, and privacy issues related to both subjects. She is currently an attorney and the Managing Director at Ferguson Legal.
